Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is poised to complete a move to the Italian champions, Juventus, either tomorrow or in the coming days.

Reports this afternoon from the Spanish newspaper AS  are saying that the 21-year-old forward flew to Turin this evening and will undergo a medical on Saturday morning. All that is left is for the Serie A club to give its final written confirmation and for the player to sign his new contract.

Earlier this week, the deal between the two European giants appeared to become unsettled once news broke of Antonio Conte’s sudden departure from Juventus. But Morata received assurances from the Bianconeri’s new manager Massimiliano Allegri via a phone conversation and the transfer between the two clubs continued forward.

Morata made 23 league appearances last season and scored eight goals. He has also collected 12 caps for the Spanish U-21 side, scoring thirteen times.

He is reportedly ready to sign a four-year contract with the Italian club and Juventus have agreed to pay Real Madrid £15.8m ($27m) for the striker.

Morata has chosen the Serie A club despite being chased by a number of European sides: Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Porto, Arsenal, Liverpool and Villareal.
