Draw Announced for Capital One Cup Quarter-Final Matches

league cup 5th round draw 600x300 Draw Announced for Capital One Cup Quarter Final Matches

The draw for the quarter-finals of the 2013-14 Capital One Cup has been announced.

Leicester City vs Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United

Stoke City vs Manchester United

Southampton/Sunderland vs Chelsea

The matches will be played during the week of December 16.

Tottenham Hotspur had to come back from being 2-1 down to Hull City in extra time to win its match at White Hart Lane. Andre Villas-Boas’s side now face a London derby against West Ham United in the fifth round of the League Cup competition, thanks in part to Gylfi Sigurdsson’s brilliant goal that opened up the scoring.

Over at St James’s Park, Manchester City defeated Newcastle United 2-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Am I right in thinking the Quarter finals of the league cup are still a straight knockout then the Semis are played over two legs

  2. rory says:

The less fancied sides had fun in this competition last season, but it looks like the megabucks clubs will march into the semis this time around
