Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion have been busy in the transfer market today with both clubs picking up a new footballer for the season.

Stoke have acquired Werder Bremen forward Marko Arnautovic who can play either as a striker or winger. The Austrian has made 27 appearances for his national team, and helped Inter Milan win the Serie A title in 2010 when he was at the club. In addition to Werder Breman and Inter, Arnautovic has played at FC Twente.

Meanwhile over at the Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion picked up Morgan Amalfitano on loan from Olympique Marseille. The 28-year-old midfielder has joined the club on a season-long loan with West Brom having an option to sign the player on a permanent deal. As well as his experience at Marseille, Amalfitano has one cap for France, and previously played at Sedan and Lorient.
