luka modric Manchester United Move For Real Madrids Luka Modric Hit By Injury to Xabi Alonso: Daily Soccer Report

With Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso being ruled out for 2-3 months due to a metatarsal injury, that has impacted Manchester United’s chances of trying to secure a deal to sign Luka Modric, according to reports in the English press.

Manchester United are still trying to sign a creative midfielder, and Modric would have been an ideal fit especially considering that the Old Trafford club have been unable to lure Cesc Fabregas away from Barcelona.

The timing of the Alonso injury is unfortunate for both Modric and United. Meanwhile, the search continues for another midfielder. Could Willian or Yohan Cabaye be a suitable option instead?

Wow Gaffer to say that letter by Dan Lobring on the Chicago Fire’s site is a “meltdown” is a bit extreme. I was going in to the article expecting a ranting and raving lunitic, but it was nothing of the such. It actually came across quite level headed to me.
