Hull City Home Shirt for 2013-14 Season: Official [PHOTOS]

Maybe it’s time that Southampton took a lesson from Hull City, to see how a club’s home kit for the new season has returned to their classic stripes?

After a “season in the wilderness” where Hull City ditched their amber and black stripes, Hull City have returned to their traditional striped kit in time for the 2013-14 season.

Designed by adidas, the new Hull City home shirt features a v-neck collar and a large black stripe on each sleeve, similar to other adidas templates used for next season.

What’s your opinion about the new Hull City home kit? Let us know in the comments section below.

It wasn’t really a “season in the wilderness” – Hull City have frequently alternated between stripes and solid amber shirts every time they bring out a new kit. It’s been going on so long that I don’t think the stripes are necessarily any more traditional than the solid amber shirts.

That aside…fairly nice kit, apart from the black chunky bits on the arms. Not so sure about the collar either.

I didn’t mean to infer that last season was the only season the club didn’t wear stripes. But for the vast majority of the club’s 109 year history, the amber and black stripes have been, by far, the most traditional and consistent shirt style the club has worn.

      • Si says:

28 stripes (inc the new season)(54yrs)
        24 plain (46yrs)
1 white and amber striped (1yr)
        2 white (2yrs)
        2 blue (2yrs)
        4 tiger print (3yrs)
        1 hooped (1yr)

I wouldn’t say the vast majority as it’s very close between stripes and plain in the history of the club
