Daniel Sturridge to Have Medical at Liverpool on Sunday Ahead of a £12m Move: The Nightly EPL

daniel sturridge Daniel Sturridge to Have Medical at Liverpool on Sunday Ahead of a £12m Move: The Nightly EPL

The big story of the day today, other than the astonishing poor refereeing in the West Ham-Everton and Manchester City-Reading matches (no, Carlton Cole shouldn’t have been sent off, and yes Gareth Barry fouled the Reading defender), is that Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge is on the verge of a £3 million move from Stamford Bridge to Anfield.

The England striker will be taking a medical tomorrow in the hopes that he’ll join the Reds in time to make an impact over the Christmas period. I hope he ends up joining Liverpool. His talents are wasted on the bench in west London.

Here are tonight’s Premier League news headlines:

The Nightly EPL is tomorrow’s news today. It’s often tomorrow morning’s British newspaper headlines that are published the night before. Here we go again. liverpool sign another overhyped British player and pay 12 million on top of that. The lad is selfish and has an attitude problem. Looks like Mr Rodgers only wants to sign players he has worked with in the past, Borini, Allen and now Sturridge. Mid-table is where Liverpool will remain if they continue with their present buying strategy.

I don’t understand this deal to be honest. He wasn’t good enough fir city who sold him for a total of around 6m to Chelsea. He wasn’t good enough fir Chelsea so Liverpool then pay 12m for him. He’s scored 26 goals in 96 games so he hardly prolific in from of goal. Liverpool need a goal scorer but I can’t see him being the answer.
