Former Man City Manager And West Ham Player John Bond Dies At 79: The Daily EPL

One of the most memorable faces of early 80s British football passed away today at the age of 79. John Bond will be remembered by many as the manager of Manchester City from 1980-83 during a very trying time for the club. To shine some light on his time at City, you should definitely watch (or re-watch) the documentary about City on YouTube.

Bond is also fondly remembered as manager of Norwich City in the late 70s.

Not only did Bond have a long managerial career from 1970 to 1999, but he also will be remembered by many, particularly West Ham United supporters, as an accomplished footballer. Bond made 444 appearances for the Hammers.

I’m sorry for repeating this, but with the new design, are there really going to be no thumbs up and thumbs down buttons for each comment anymore?

If so, may I know why? Were you all somehow unable to include it or did you decide not to have it anymore? Without those buttons, reading through each article and its comments isn’t so enjoyable anymore. I really hope it’s not going to be gone permanently.

    • The Gaffer says:

Hi Sammy, thanks for the feedback.

The plan is to add the thumbs up/thumbs down for the comments, but we’re looking into that right now.

We’re also looking into adding the number of comments per post.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

Giving Qatar the world cup was a massive mistake, now Platini wants to take a break from 2 November to 20 December… Nearly 2 months what on earth is that about? hold it tin the summer and let the moneybags pay for the stadium to be built with ac, have indoor training too. 2 months break in the premier league around xmas would suck.

Such a mistake hosting in Qataer

Couldn’t agree more… Plus during the break, the lower leagues will probably continue, and it could effect their attendance….
