Play the FIFA 12 PS3 Official EPL Talk League

fifa 12 Play the FIFA 12 PS3 Official EPL Talk League

Now that we’ve relaunched the FIFA 12 league for the Xbox 360, it’s time to invite EPL Talk readers to join EPL Talk’s FIFA 12 league for the PS3.

The PS3 league has been strong for more than one year. The league already has 11-12 committed video games, but we’re interested in adding 8-10 serious PS3 gamers.

If you’re interested, note that you will have to:

  • Commit to playing an entire season (38 games is a lot to commit to, but it’s about a two month season),
  • Play at least five games a week and complete all of your games (i.e. no dropped games), and
  • You must have a good Internet connection (again, no dropped games).

The season is run like a regular Premier League season. There’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get your favorite team. While it’s possible, it’s possibly improbable.

If you’re a serious gamer and you’re interested in joining the league, e-mail Leo at by31lengths@yahoo.com

We have been together for a year now and have a strong core of guys. We try to run the league like the real EPL . Or as close to it as possible with a 38 game season. We started with 20 guys/teams however many people just can not commit to playing a full 38 game EPL season. So we moved on with those 10 – 12 guys that could commit. The season does take some time to complete and since there are guys from all over the world that play, we simply could not get 20 players to commit and so we never completed a 38 game season. We have however completed 4 EPL seasons that consisted of 8-10 teams (14-18) games.

An issue that we had was players did not get a team that they wanted. This is why some players got bored and quit. We only play with ONE EPL team per season. In other words, there won’t be more than Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, ect each season. Once the season is over we re-draft so someone else can get those teams. On the plus side of that is – you get to learn a little about other teams.

We are interested in players that will commit to getting all of there games in. When someone quits or is removed from the league, it affects the standings horribly. We have a website that we interact on and coordinate game times if needed. It is important to visit as much as possible as there will be info there that may be helpful.

We would be looking for players that –
-are respectful to each other and the game
-will commit to playing the entire season
-wont quit in the middle of a game
-have a good internet connection. Dropped games also affect the standings. If you lose connection, you lose the game.
-will not play “keep away” when trying to hold a lead. This is subjective so treat your opponent as you would like to be treated.
-interact on the site that is set up

Be prepared to play with someone like Norwich or Blackburn. Be patient and you will eventually get to play with someone that you want to play with. At the end of each season, we re-draft teams according to how you finished in the standings. We also try not to give the same player the same team too soon.
    Thanks.

I have been emailing with Leo, but thought I would throw a quick post up too. The PS3 league is full, but I would still like to get a league going. An “Unofficial EPL Talk” league, if you will.

Same details and requirements. Leo was going to pass along emails for anyone interested in the Official league who didn’t get in.

I have never put together or been in a league before, but think it would be a lot of fun to get something going with other commited guys. Or gals.

Feel free to email me if your interested.

Hey guys. We’ve filled the league at this moment and can’t accept any other requests at this time. For those that have inquired, I will keep your email address in the event that we’ll have openings (which I anticipate).
I hope that someone else can set up a league as it’s not that difficult to do and I’ll help with advice if needed. I will say that you SHOULD get a dedicated web site/blog to interact on as conversing on the PSN is sometimes difficult. Keep in mind that your league does NOT have to be a full 20 teams. a 10 team league is just as fun and you can actually play MORE seasons and as more team (you should re-distribute teams after each season).
I would also suggest that you post your interest here in hope that someone will go ahead and create another league.
    Good luck.

I agree with Footballfool. Feel free to use the comments thread here to set up leagues and talk with one another.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer
