Blackburn Rovers will be wearing Umbro Shirts

umbro Blackburn Rovers will be wearing Umbro Shirts
Blackburn Rovers has made a late decision and has decided to sign a contract with Umbro instead of Lonsdale for their 2007/2008 football kit.

The move to Umbro is unusual because Rovers fans, in the latter half of last season, voted on new designs from Lonsdale (see story here).

While Umbro has been signing contracts with a significant number of clubs this summer and is enjoying quite a resurgence, the fact is that nearly all of the designs follow the same Umbro templates. As a result, many of the shirts look very much alike except for the differences in team colors.

Lonsdale, on the other hand, produced more original and aesthetically pleasing shirts, in my opinion.

The new Blackburn Rovers 07/08 shirt will be available for purchase beginning on August 23rd. More news from the Rovers web site here.
