The Return of Roswell P. Shambling

00 The Return of Roswell P. ShamblingThe latest episode of the EPL Talk Podcast is now live featuring an interview with Adrian Sherling from Manchester Buccaneers fame. His real name was a closely guarded secret until only recently, but many of you may know him better as Roswell P. Shambling.

If you’re not acquainted with the Manchester Buccaneers, you may want to visit the blog first to get a taste for the hilarity.

Near the end of the podcast, we allude to a video you can see on this blog. Click the link here for a real laugh. And thanks to the Tokyo Toffeeman for the laughter.

One more thing. If you want to have your story published in the next EPL Talk Email Newsletter and you want to win an EPL Talk T-shirt (I only have less than 10 left, so once they’re gone, they’ll be collector’s items), be sure to answer this question via e-mail by Thursday, September 14:

In light of Jose Pepe Reina’s mishap against Everton this past weekend, what’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in football (either on or off the pitch)?

  1. Dennis G. says:

I just recieved my EPL Talk t-shirt in the mail from a past survey and I have to say it is the coolest T-Shirt I have ever had.

4 Chelsea players(Maniche, Crespo, Lampard and Gudjohnson), holding their nuts while making a wall…and at the top of the picture it says, “For Hardcore soccer nuts only”

    at the bottom, “EPL”

    Classic….thanks Gaffer….simply awesome…just like the site.

In the interview he refers to the comments submitted by irate ManUre fans – I strongly recommend you have a look at them. Classic!

I wonder if there are any Manchester Buccaneers T-shirts the gaffer could give away….

  3. The Gaffer says:

Thanks for the support and kind comments. Glad you liked the shirt and thanks for responding to the survey (and being one of the randomly selected winners).

I don’t have any T-shirts available, but I’ll ask Adrian Sherling’s PR person to see if she can comply.

In the meantime, I do have a hardcover edition of the Buccaneers book. If you want to win it, just go ahead and promote the interview on one of the message boards out there (BigSoccer, World Soccer Daily, The 2 G’s or others) and send me a link to the message.

The best promotion message sent in by Tuesday, September 12 will win the book.

Hmmm…Your prediction that Arsenal would win the EPL this year was pretty hilarious. :)

  5. Anonymous says:

As was the gaffer’s prediction that David Moyes would get the sack in 2006! Funny old game.

  6. The Gaffer says:

Yeah, Arsenal’s form has been appalling. Who would have thought they would be in the predicament that they’re in now?

No worries. We’ll look at the Premiership table after the season is over to see where everyone’s predictions ended up.

And Everton is a team reborn. Earlier this year, Everton looked doomed. But Moyes has done a fantastic job at fusing together a formidable side.
