<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-135" href="http:\/\/www.serieatalk.com/lazio-release-new-kit-for-08-09-season/132/135/" title="lazio-0809kit-3a.jpg"></a></p><div><figure class="image"><a rel="attachment wp-att-135" href="http:\/\/www.serieatalk.com/lazio-release-new-kit-for-08-09-season/132/135/" title="lazio-0809kit-3a.jpg"></a></figure></div>Lazio have revealed their new third kit ahead of the 2008/09 campaign.&nbsp; The club had a terrible start last season attempting to balance additional Champions League&nbsp;commitments with domestic&nbsp;play.&nbsp; The team finished the 07-08 season in 12th on 46 points.&nbsp; In my opinion this squad lacked the depth required to go head-to-head against the best in Europe.&nbsp; The Biancocelesti (white and sky-blues) ended last season 11-13-14 with only 2 road wins to their name and faced a&nbsp;relegation battle during the second half of the season after falling as far as 17th.<p></p>

The 08-09 Lazio Kits<p></p>
<p>The new Lazio third kit supplied by Puma is all black in a very attractive design. The kit has a long black collar with a sky-blue trim. On the right shoulder, there are two stripes which are appearing on the recent Puma-designed shirts. The sleeves also have a sky-blue trim. The Puma logo appears on the right side of the shirt and on the left shoulder.&nbsp; Argentinian&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauro_Z%C3%A1rate" title="Mauro Zarate profile">Mauro Zarate</a> (pictured) models the all black kit for us.</p>
<p>The away shirt is yellow and has black details on the sides. It will be accompanied by dark blue almost black shorts with yellow side details, and horizontally-striped yellow &amp; black socks.&nbsp; Midfielder <a target="_blank" href="http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ousmane_Dabo" title="Ousmane Dabo profile">Ousmane Dabo</a> (pictured), who re-signed for Lazio on the 30th January 2008, after having a previous spell at the club between 2003 and 2006 models the away kit.</p>
<p>Finally, the home shirt will be the tradional sky-blue accompanied by white shorts with sky-blue details on the sides and sky-blue socks.&nbsp;&nbsp;Striker <a target="_blank" href="http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goran_Pandev" title="Goran Pandev profile">Goran Pandev</a> (pictured) models the home kit for us&nbsp;while keeper&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Pablo_Carrizo">Juan Pablo Carrizo</a>&nbsp;, who joined from River Plate on the 8th July 2008 shows off his all-green kit for the coming season.</p>

<p><em>The Biancocelesti’s&nbsp;badge and symbol is the eagle, which was chosen by founding member Luigi Bigiarelli. This emblem represents&nbsp;the Roman Empire’s army&nbsp;once known as the Aquila. Roman legions would&nbsp;carry the symbol with them when going in to battle hence the additional knickname of Le Aquile or The Eagles.&nbsp; </em></p>
