Brazilian midfielder Ramires is set to leave Chelsea in a $28.5 million move to China’s Jiangsu Suning, according to The Guardian. The move would end the 28-year-old’s five-and-a-half-year stay at Stamford Bridge.

Ramires, capped 52 times by the Brazilian national team, moved to Chelsea from Benfica in 2010 for £18 million. Over course of the next five-plus seasons, Ramires has won nearly every major team honor possible: one Premier League; one FA Cup; one League Cup; one UEFA Champions League; and one Europa League. In 160 league appearances, he has also scored 17 times, with his versatility winning him regular time in both defensive and attacking midfield.

Chelsea signed Ramires to a new four-year contract in October, but since Guus Hiddink took over as the club’s manager, the former Cruziero standout has failed to start a Premier League match. Chelsea’s last two league games have seen Ramires fail to make Hiddink’s bench, leaving the midfielder with only seven starts in the club’s 23 league matches this season.

Jiangsu Suning finished the 2015 Chinese Super League season ninth in the 16-team league and are currently training in Malaga ahead of their 2016 campaign. They are currently managed by former Chelsea wideman and long-time Romanian international Dan Petrescu, who will be entering his second season with the club.
