  1. The guy has a very long and (IMO) extremely unethical history of insider trading and manipulating financial markets for his own gain and to the detriment of many, many others. He did inflict something like a 3 billion pound loss upon the Bank of England when shorting the pound back in 1992. Even people sympathetic to Soros’ political views have expressed outrage at some of the guy’s financial machinations over the years.

Also MUST has very bad memories of what happened the last time United floated shares. Which is to say a despicable fraudster in Malcolm Glazer took the opportunity to execute a hostile takeover of the club. The structure of this deal will not allow Glazer to be dispossessed, but adding a viper like Soros to the nest can’t fill anyone with warm and fuzzy feelings.

    1. For his involvement in the Asian Financial Crisis, I despise George Soros with the passion of a million burning suns. To this day I boycott any and all corporations owned by Soros. Fly JetBlue? I’d rather walk.

I did not have much problem with the Glazer ownership, but if Soros increases his United ownership I’d seriously consider supporting another club.
