Manchester City Home Shirt for 2012-13 Season Leaked [PHOTO]

A photo has been leaked on the Internet featuring what appears to be Manchester City’s new home kit for the 2012-13 Premier League season.

Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov is pictured wearing the new Manchester City home shirt. As you can see from the above leaked photograph, it features black trim instead of the current white trim. The black trim is a prominent feature on the Manchester City crest, sponsor’s name and collar. Speaking of the collar, it looks quite smart.

The new Man City home shirt isn’t a departure from the tried-and-true designs that we’re used to seeing from City and Umbro. As in previous seasons, the designs are simple and clean. It’s a thumbs up from me. But what do you think? Share your opinion in the comments section below.

In the meantime, Manchester City needs your help to launch their new kit for the 2012-13 season.

The club along with Umbro is running a contest where they’re going to reward the most creative idea of how you’d launch the new Manchester City kit.

According to Umbro, “Think of an amazing way to launch one of the new Manchester City kits. Apply with an explanation of your brilliant idea and why you should be selected to launch a kit.”

The winner will receive a limited-edition City Blue Box containing the new kit. A professional film crew will then come to you and film your personal launch. Then, when Umbro and Manchester City launch the kit, your idea will be featured as part of the launch.

  1. That video is hilarious, it’s a good thing their feet do most of their talking!

The new kit reeks of oil money. This year’s was better imo.

  2. Reeks of oil money? Because they used black trim? What about all the times in the past they used black trim? What about all the other clubs that use black trim?

    1. You lot really are OBSESSED with us now aren’t you? ‘Ooh I wonder what City’s new kit will look like’. Yeah, imagine it with the gold badges on the sleeve you mug.

    2. Have you seen uniteds new shirt now thats sh*t???? 6-1 & 1-0 joke like the team itself, broke and found out.

    3. Two words for you, M8: SCORE BOARD.

I must admit that it would be “typical City” for us to drop points this Sunday against the QPR and allow all of United’s “fans” in Dallas Texas, Kuala Lumpur, and wherever else to celebrate.

But if that happens, you’ll still have Malcolm Glazer and an 0-2 record against us in League play.

    4. at the man u hoe. i belive our jersey this year is better than yours. HEY when were winning next year verse i think we can have a picnic on the field WITH YOUR JERSEYS

    5. Frill you are doing a piss poor job repping us, ya know.

(please pay no attention to the man behind the curtains!!)

    6. Typical rag, firstly city is the so called sh*tty team that beat u to the prem lg title, won both derby’s and have played better football all season. As for our kit, compared to utd’s picnic blanket its a masterpiece.Anyhow fancy like relaxing for a while,Think I’ll watch a dvd, maybe gone in 60 seconds.

    7. Well mister “fatarse”, did you check up on the news lately?

WHO just won the premier league? Oh yeah, MANCHESTER CITY! Who failed miserably? Yeah, your little puppet, United.

  3. frill artist u clearly no nothing. just like the other 99% of united fans u probably live in Thailand or Vietnam.
city are clearly one of the best teams around.
so get back to eating ur rice and plucking chickens you typical red

    1. Maybe thats what the premier league next season is trying to do. make all the kits look old fashioned.

  4. Umbro are usually pretty hot on keeping lit launches a secret … and good also at red herrings, so this may not be 100% the new kit. Agree with Karl, I hope they keep the old AC Milan inspired away kit too !

    1. No, the kit is actually going to be sponsored by Nike starting from 2013-14 season and finishing in 2019. Nice Kit nice old fashioned style back to the good old days.

  5. Well i like the shirt. However, I’d definitely change the white shorts to blue shorts just like the 11/12 season as an all blue strip was sweet. Secondly, the city crest itself I don’t believe should be black and white, keep it original logo… just my opinions but nevertheless its a nice strip

they’ll not be with umbro is 13/14 anyway since they signed up with Nike

  6. When will the new kits be available? anyone know?

I really want to see citys 3rd kit for 2010/2011 come back, the white with the red and black side strips

  7. @aroon shah if you aimed ‘richardhead’ at me. I now realise I spelt no wrong
an should of spelt it ‘know’. I also think I may of misused some grammar in there to.
apologies to you. please feel free to grade me again

  8. Very nice looking and classy kitand good move back to white shorts. It looks like a kit premier league champions would wear… Good luck to city on sunday!

  9. can’t wait to see all red scum crying at the sight of the blue/true mancs lift the trophy.
maybe if we are looking they will be relegated next year to

  10. Its a training kit that City have been seen using more than once this season :) ive seen them train in it and as for the red and black striped away shirt i imagine it will be next seasons 3rd kit as the white away strip from 2010 was last years 3rd shirt and the blue away kit for the season after was the 3rd kit for the championship winning season…..

  11. hahahahah all you rags…. your lookin at the league champions new shirt….. just need to add the gold badge.

  12. its a nice kit,,we may as well enjoy it next year, cos the following year we are wearing nike!!,,and nike make nasty kits, like the last 10 or so united kits for instance!,,,bloody disgusting the lot of them!!

  13. After seeing Man City in all blue this year I really got used to that and thought it would be a permanent thing. Not so I guess.

The kit is good but I would have preferred them stay in blue shorts.

  14. Oil money… a good thing… Nice looking shirt, better than last year, but I was expecting more… too simple…

  15. No kit (except the Tottenham one posted on April 1 haha) holds a candle to the European Champions’ kit. Blue is the colour. And the gold trim will match the gold star quite nicely. Cheers!
