Oliver Kay Interview: EPL Talk Podcast

EPL Talk Podcast Logo draft 300x242 Oliver Kay Interview: EPL Talk Podcast

Oliver Kay is a Chief Football Correspondent for the Times.  He joins us on the Thursday edition of the podcast to talk about the current state of the Premier League, the John Terry saga, the state of the England national team, his background in sports journalism and the future of coverage in a struggling print media.

Don’t forget that the EPL Talk Podcast is the only Premier League interview and analysis podcast available for free. In the past few weeks, we’ve interviewed legends of the game such as Steve McManaman, Efan Ekoku, Martin Chivers and Robbie Earle as well as experts such as Declan Hill, Simon Kuper, Misha Sher, Matt Dickinson, Andy Brassell and many others. Why pay $40 a year to rival podcasts when you can subscribe to the EPL Talk Podcast for FREE featuring interviews with the biggest names in football?

Oh you hater of World Football Daily…’s just less than $4.00/month. I think the podcast world is big enough that you don’t have to slag off one of the only pay per listen shows on the interwebs.

Richard, there’s no need for that. We’re not hating. Just trying to get across the fact that we have a competitive advantage by being a daily soccer show in the United States that is free, not paid. We’re not slagging anyone off, just raising a point of difference.

While I don’t always agree with what WFD puts out there, I think they do a fine job. Considering the opposition that they’ve faced between boycotts from the SOS, I have to applaud them for continuing their efforts in putting out a top rate football show. I enjoy EPLTalk’s as well mate. Keep up the good work and know that WFD is not your competition. Obviously they are a pay site that is trying to find a certain niche of the football population. There is room for almost everyone(with exception to the 2G’s, they were quite rubbish).

  2. Good news, free is ALWAYS good. Almost.. hehe

To be free or not to be is not the question. The current podcast is a good one. Oliver Kay has good insight on the Terry matter. Informative.
