Gamboa Headed to Chivas USA?

Grahame Jones of the LA Times reported earlier today that Jorge Vergara Chivas USA’s part owner has arranged for a goalkeeper to join the Los Angeles based side from Saprissa, the CONCACAF Champions Cup runner ups which Vegara also owns. Keilor Navas Gamboa who is twenty one is the goalkeeper that Vergara was most likely sending to L.A. Gamboa has played for Costa Rica at the U-20 level.

Superliga begins Sunday night for Chivas USA and Dan Kennedy, a onetime star in the Chilean First Division is the only keeper with any serious match experience for Chivas. CSRN is the English language home for all Chivas USA home games in MLS with Peter Brown and Graham Bell providing the commentary. Archived broadcasts of games can be found on CSRN’s home page, at csrnusa.com.
