There’s no consistency in the presentation of soccer games. They range from NBCSN to ESPN + to ‘ Sports Gold’ and PlayStation. I suggest you put the FA Cup Games on FoxSN and the Premier League on NBCSN. As to the Euro and Championship games, find a regular channel for them. I do not see why I have to pay to see games on my computer (small screen) when I outlay almost $200 a month for Comcast, Xfinity and Time Warner. Signed ‘old disgruntled City fan’ Rex Hearn.
Great comment. I pay a tons of money for the cable ($270/month) and I want to watch every soccer game in the TV. Whoever does not pay for cable lets pay for ESPN+ or NFL Gold, but do not force me to watch the games in my Apple watch, since I pay enough money to enjoy watching them in the TV. I am an Arsenal fan and I see all its game are now shown in the NBC gold.
Agreed, I too am a Gooner and have to search around to see where I can watch all the games i possibly can. Although, I disagree with the previous comment that ‘ALL’ Arsenal games are shown through NBC Sports Gold app.
Premier League games are on NBCSN (or other affiliated channels) & NBC Sports Gold (which is another $49.99/yr)
Europa League games are shown on the ‘Absolute Shite’ B/R app ($2.99/match or $9.99/month) along with their very poor commentary team (usually only 1 person).
Champions League games are also shown on the B/R app, with the occasional games being shown on TNT.
FA Cup games are available through ESPN, but only through their ESPN+ app ($4.99/month)
And finally, the League Cup (Carabao Cup) is also only viewable through the ESPN+ app.
All of the above apps require the ability to stream and not all smart TV ‘s have them all. I had to buy a Roku last year, as my Samsung TV;s would not support NBC Sports Gold. All of these costs add up as everyone wants a piece of the pie! If you’re like me, you want to watch all the games and you have to pay the price.
It still sucks though.
Wow another crazy comment on here, so these different leagues and associations in different countries should all get together with the U.S. TV and streaming networks, forget out about who is paying more for rights and the networks should forget about their other programming and revenue and they should put it all on one channel and all lose money TO GROW THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! and make WST commentors happy.
Also it’s 2019, you do know there are tons of ways to see streaming on a TV right??? You should get with the times.
+ + + Agree with Payasos! I would love to know who Rex Hearn and Vasil think they are addressing with their “suggestions” . . . the Grand Master of all soccer broadcasts worldwide???? Over-riding all franchise and broadcaster agreements? For the record I want all dramas and comedies from Amazon, Hulu and Netflix to be merged into one channel, because I don’t like paying three subscriptions. And all British shows from PBS, BritBox, and Acorn TV put onto BBC America, so that I don’t have to search for them and have them conveniently in one place. Oh, and all college basketball broadcasts cancelled, because I hate the game and it clutters up the menus on my TiVo
Chris. I love your humor,! Rex Hearn 88, City fan since 7 !!
Get directv now app. $35/month, invludes all the main sports channels including nbcsn, tnt, galacision, univision, foxsports. Best decision i ever made cutting cable and switching.
I totally agree with Rex . FIX IT !!!!
I’m sure they will get right on that for you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are all Premier League teams playing on May 4th and May 12th? The 12th is Decision Day so that is a definite. But does the 2nd to last week also have all the teams playing in one day? Kind of like a Decision Day preview? Except all games are not on TV networks. Decision Day they are.
My cable shows Leicester v Burnley on Sat. 3/16 on NBCSN. Guess they are shuffling things with the FA Cup games?
Hi Tom, NBCSN has moved things around so the Leicester-Burnley game will be on NBCSN.
Chris.
I have tried on various occasions of finding a site; if any, that would allow me to watch all of Arsenal’s games with no success.
Is there any venue that allows for subscription?
I’ve read that The Gold and BR live don’t offer much quality.
Could you also advise on the same topic for Barcelona. I watched the majority of their games on Fubo and then had a major problem cancelling their service. The BBB of New York stated that there were numerous complaints about the company.
Thank You.
Mike Borelli
Hi Mike, if you want to watch every single Arsenal game this season, you’ll need:
ESPN+ — To watch FA Cup and League Cup games
Premier League — You’ll need a streaming platform that offers NBC and NBCSN (as well as CNBC)… we recommend Sling Blue with World News Extra add-on
NBC Sports Gold Premier League Pass — For access to all of the Premier League games not televised
B/R Live — To watch all of the Arsenal games in the Europa League
If you want to watch every single Arsenal game this season, you’ll need:
LaLiga – To watch all of the games on beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español, you can subscribe to Sling Blue plus Best of Spanish TV or Fanatiz (or other streaming services)
B/R Live — To watch all of the Barcelona games in the Champions League
For Barcelona games, your best bet to make sure you don’t miss anything is to bookmark our LaLiga TV schedule page (which includes all Barcelona games in all competitions): http://worldsoccertalk.com/la-liga-tv-schedule/
Same applies to Arsenal at http://www.worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule
Is there a reason why the first home game at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium isn’t being shown by NBCSN? Why show a game that is a nailed on home win (Man City) instead?
Hello Doc,
I agree with you 100% I’m sure there is going to be a beautiful opening ceremony at the new stadium. It’s also a London Derby. This is NBC Sports we’re talking about, remember. What in the world do they know about the EPL or professional football in general?
Sky Sports News has been on NBCSN for a month now. I wonder if NBCSN learned anything from them?
Probably has more to do with it turning towards the end of the season and Manchester City and Liverpool are in a title race. I’d expect those two to be on TV whenever possible from here on out unless one of them builds a very sizable lead (doubtful).
It seems that they listened! Well done NBCSN!
Are NBC sports gonna use 10 networks for next week of championship Sunday. Just like last year or not ?
Yes. Check out the TV guide for more info: http://worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule/
This year won’t be on E!, Bravo, and Oxygen channel this Sunday.
Now this is Golf channel and streaming of 2 matches on NBC Sports.com and app
Great, Liverpool on NBCSN the last Sunday. Can stream that, won’t be able to stream NBC. Hopefully, the matchup doesn’t swap if Leicester pulls off a shocker today.
Can any co-commentator experts help with this piece of detective work? Who was the NBC/fubo sidekick “color” commentator for the Bournemouth vs Spurs match last Saturday? WorldSTalk listed it as Kevin Kilbane but when I searched the name the person who came up had a completely different voice. It also does not seem to be Joe Speight who was listed as the main play by play commentator, or at least his name was listed first.
I’m obviously not someone who follows the different talent employed for Prem games etc. They mostly seem very good and add to the enjoyment of watching, but this guy has the perfect voice for his profession and I kinda like the way the timbre or inflection of his voice often reflects the actions he’s describing, admittedly not really heard in this clip. Thanks to anyone who can correctly identify the voice.
The NBC Sports highlights clip link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRhYKSAdIqU
The co-commentator in that clip is Clive Allen.
NBC has increased he price of Gold to $65 and it appears That the normal NBC Sports package might not have on demand games anymore (because gold is now touting it as a feature).
It’s been quiet on here about NBC’s update to the Gold app. The information released is vague but my understanding of it is that no on demand match replays will be available till after 9pm ET. That would be a big disappointment for me. It’s hard avoiding scores that long and if you watch something on ESPN in the meantime then you have all the scores and news flashing on the bottom. Kick in the teeth again for supporters of clubs outside the so called Big 6. Anyone able to make sense of what is going on?
I think the only thing that is vague is whether the exclusive games will be available on demand before 9 PM. Otherwise, it seems pretty straightforward. $40 gets you 140 mid and lower tier matches or upper tier mid-week games live (and only live). $65 gets you the On Demand for all 380 games in addition to the 140 exclusive live games, plus additional football programming fluff (or not fluff if you have no Cable/Sat/IPTV).
$65 isn’t a bad price, but it does come with some risk. Used to be easy to avoid spoilers for the EPL.
I contacted NBC and they said matches exclusive to Gold would be available soon after the final whistle. The national games on NBCSN, etc, would not be available till 9pm ET. Hopefully this is how it turns out but you never know
Oh, I really hope this 9PM nonsense isn’t true for Gold subscribers. I am in the same boat, I need to watch all EPL games on demand and avoid spoilers, so waiting until 9 PM isn’t going to work. I didn’t like that they raised the price, but I will accept it, but not any other changes.
The Leicester – Wolves game has been moved to Sunday according to the Premier League website
What is my best choice in purchasing a program to watch all of the Arsenal games? Is that even possible.
Thank You.
You can subscribe to NBC Sports Gold Premier League Pass to access every Arsenal game. More info is at https://worldsoccertalk.com/2019/07/09/nbc-makes-big-changes-nbc-sports-gold-premier-league-packages/
Any of the games that are on TV will be delayed on NBC Sports Gold. But you’ll get on-demand access to the match hours after it ends.
It’s not what I would want from a streaming package.
#MyPLMorning…. Is it just me or is this so cringeworthy? I dont care that Scott in Kansas is sitting with his baby in Chelsea gear watching the game on TV, or Dan in Florida has dressed up his dog. They put on the screen that an ex Cinncinnati Bengals WR has tweeted he is excited to watch the game and we got a full screen picture of JJ Watts dogs sitting next to a swimming pool. We then got lots of Rebecca Lowe rating peoples breakfasts. I don’t have the vocabulary to describe how awful this is. Someone make them stop. Please.
Greg – I agree with you 100% It’s childish. ”Rebecca Lowe rating peoples breakfasts” Perhaps she’s auditioning to work for the Food Network. Don’t expect NBC to improve. The Peacock network has shown it’s true colors.
Get real guys, they are trying to attract a broader audience, which is all good for the game in the US. It’s entertainment, and it is NOT at the expense of good feedback and analysis of the games.
Does anyone know if the Norwich/Watford match will be available on the app after the live stream, or must one watch it live? Thanks!
Normally you can watch on delay but obviously I personally can’t guarantee that for this game.
Sometimes it will take a while for it to show up after the live game has finished. Usually after an hour it should appear. Come on Norwich. Sucks that they didn’t put this Friday night game on TV.
I am watching the replay of the Sheffield United vs Manchester United game on MU Tv on Roku. The video quality is outstanding, the way a premier league game should be seen. I then saw the Spanish replay of the Chelsea game on the Nbc Sports app and the video quality was less than stellar. Let’s say it was atrocious, why oh why is their video quality not up to snuff? If you have the Premier League then your app should be pristine video quality. They have eye money and the resources. They are charging for Gold and yet MU TV has way better quality, as does Espn Plus. It’s like they do it on purpose so you can have cable. Ok I’m done, just felt it needed to be said.
