Good points. I am a MLS fan, but the end of the Yanks Abroad era has hurt the team. Don’t agree with the snip at Bruin and Wondo, because I rate them, but agree with the point in general. Dempsey was terrible, and Wondo has been better than him this year, and I am a big Demp fan. I totally agree about the subs. Is not the basic idea, that if they have you on your heels, then make a change? Did not think our guys in dreadlocks were great, eventhough those are two of the top Americans for USMNT over last few years. I would have liked to have seen Garza or Shea at left back, and the format that you mention with two holding mids with Dempsey wide (he was going to play even if his form is off). Danny Williams, Yedlin, could have played for Jones and Beckerman from the start. Its easy to second guess, but this is a game that will mark generational changes, which really should have started right after the world cup, or if these tournaments were so important, try Feilhaber, etc.
