Probably Two Happy Robertos (EPL Talk Review Podcast)

A weekend of literal and narrative cup finals for north and south. Though it was interesting to see where they took place. Liverpool visited London whilst United hosted and City went to “The Shore”. All results lead to dejection and jubilance. Overall, London comes away as the happier City. So, what about the clubs left with defeat to ponder.

The pod takes a look at how defeat can shape a team and sum up a season so well. Section One focuses on Manchester whilst Two follows the agitation and adulation of a Wembley final. Both times, Roberto was the happier man both times. Scots left to consider the less obvious misgivings.

And of course there was relegation to consider. Are Aston Villa above the fight now? Did Cisse’s heroics do it for QPR? It all builds up to a great final weekend. Join the Twitter conversation:

Good podcast. Enjoyed the segment on City’s spending habits v. that of United.
I wonder what everyone thinks United will be able to get out of Berbatov and if they might entertain offers for Hernandez if someone came calling? Thoughts?

Wigan is not a Rugby town. There are more Football fans in the town than Rugby fans. The perception comes from the fact that most of Wigans history is based in the lower leagues, fans in the town from earlier generations gravitated towards the other local clubs at the top of the first division, Liverpool, Everton, United, City and to a lesser extent Bolton and Blackburn. They then pass that tradition down through families. We are breaking that mold slowly.
