Premier League review show GW7; World Soccer Talk Podcast

Listen to the World Soccer Talk Podcast featuring Richard Farley, Laurence McKenna and Kartik Krishnaiyer as they dissect all of the major story lines from the 10 games during Premier League gameweek 7.

This week, they discuss how Manchester City got dislodged from the top of the table, whether Spurs have found their magic formula to go on a good run in the Premier League this season, whether Chelsea are vulnerable or not given their inconsistent performances, where Chelsea’s weaknesses are, has Arsenal become more pragmatic and did Leicester play too open of a game, as well as Liverpool’s huge win to beat Aston Villa and temporarily take the pressure off manager Brendan Rodgers. That, as well as a review and analysis of all of the other matches.

First, I must say I like your review podcast each week and listen whenever I can. Second, I must disclaim that I am not a Chelsea fan. I am actually a Hull City fan.

That said, I must step in to defend Jose Mourinho. Everyone is all over him about the way Chelsea are performing. What is not being talked about or discussed is what Jose is potentially dealing with in his personal life. I say potentially, as know one really knows for sure, but based on many reports, his Father is potentially dying, or is at least entering the final phase of life. If this is the case, I don’t care how good a professional you are in any occupation, this will no doubt distract. Children watching their parents slowly deteriorate is not for the faint of heart. It will affect Jose which will ultimately affect his players’ performance on the field. We should all just cut him some slack here as we have no idea what the severity is of what he is dealing with in his family life.
