The thing that would help spread popularity of Liga MX in the US is if it had an English broadcast on like NBCSN or ESPN.

Liga MX in English on Facebook average 30,000 viewers. That’s a joke. There are comedians who stream videos of themselves while they are playing video games on YouTube and Twitch who can draw 10 times as many viewers at any given time.

Liga MX in English on ESPN2 and FS2 during the October fundraiser (which was produced by Univision Deportes network) didn’t come close to drawing 100,000 viewers.

A majority of young English-speaking consumers of soccer TV products in the U.S. only consume Tier I GLOBAL BRANDS. You can count those brands in one hand: Real Madrid and Barcelona. Even Manchester United is beginning to fade in the U.S.
