NYCFC broadcasts make it harder than ever for fans to watch team

In 2019, NYCFC matches aired locally in the New York metro area on the YES Network and YES2. Nationally, NYCFC appeared on ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, Univision, and Unimás. The club’s matches also streamed on three different platforms: FOX Sports Go, Twitter, and MLS Live on ESPN+. That’s ten different viewing options for what is only a 34-game regular season. Before New York City Football Club had uniforms or a fan base, or an academy, or any semblance of a footballing identity, they had David Villa. New York (AFP) – David Villa scored twice as New York City FC bounced back from their opening weekend defeat with a 4-0 rout of DC United in Major League Soccer on Sunday. David Villa named MLS player of the year

New York (AFP) – Former Spain striker David Villa was named as Major League Soccer’s Most Valuable Player on Tuesday in recognition of a prolific season which helped transform New York City FC’s fortunes. The Spanish World Cup winner’s goals helped take New York, who finished 17th in their inaugural season, to the club’s first appearance in the playoffs. Ex-Chelsea star Frank Lampard to leave New York City

New York (AFP) – Former Chelsea star Frank Lampard will leave Major League Soccer’s New York City FC once his contract expires at the end of the year, the team announced Monday. The 38-year-old English midfielder was signed by the North American league expansion squad in 2014 and scored 15 goals in 31 appearances. The second legs of the MLS Cup conference semi-finals are set to take place this weekend, with a number of exciting fixtures becoming do-or-die for the title hopefuls. Los Angeles (AFP) – David Villa scored twice to lift New York City FC to a 2-0 victory over the Dynamo in Houston on Friday and into first place in the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference. City are now two points ahead of the Toronto FC, with the top two clubs in each conference to go straight into the MLS Cup playoff semi-finals.
