For Copa America Centenario, Univision averaged 3,099,625 viewers per game over the 32-game tournament. The impressive numbers illustrate how perfect of a competition this was for Univision. Not only did it feature the popular Mexico and USA teams in North America, but the tournament was filled with some of the brightest teams as well as heavily supported Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and other South American nations in addition to teams from Central America and the Caribbean. Univision’s live coverage of the 2016 Copa America Centenario final between Argentina and Chile averaged a record 6.8 million viewers across Univision and Univision Deportes combined. The Spanish-language broadcast of the game was more than double the 2.997 million who watched the match on FOX Sports 1. Sunday’s Copa America Centenario final between Argentina and Chile averaged 2.979 million viewers, which is the most-watched men’s soccer game ever not involving the USA team on FOX Sports 1.
