Barcelona draws large crowd in International Champions Cup defeat to AC Milan

The International Champions Cup (ICC) returned to northern California this past weekend. This year’s edition brought two historic clubs in AC Milan and Barcelona back to the Bay Area. The sun was shining on a warm Saturday afternoon in Santa Clara for a reported 51,391 fans in attendance. FC Barcelona will be heading to the United States this summer for a preseason tour ahead of its 2018/19 LaLiga season. During the 2017/18 season, Barcelona won the Copa del Rey final after defeating Sevilla in the final. Plus, of course, they won the Spanish LaLiga title in convincing fashion. Madrid (AFP) – Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta says he will decide “next week” whether to continue his decorated career in either China or Japan. Barca president admits to meeting Griezmann representatives

Barcelona (AFP) – Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has admitted he met with representatives of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann in October. Griezmann has indicated he wants his future decided before this summer’s World Cup after Barca were forced to deny in January they had already agreed a deal to sign the Frenchman. “We had conversations with his representative, as we have with other representatives,” Bartomeu told Catalan radio Rac1 on Monday. “This was last October, a meeting, nothing more.
