@Roberto, does the winner of US Open Cup get anything in addition to silverware and cash (e.g., entry to a desirable tournament)? I started watching this year and it seems some of the stronger MLS teams gave it the EFL Cup treatment (rest players, avoid injuries, if you win it is nice, if you lose future fixture congestion goes away). Many lower league teams this year seemed to treat US Open Cup like a championship playoff. I hope it is a fun and competitive game tonight

Yes Dave, a spot in the CCL, next year.

Do not know why WST did not have an article on the Canadian Championship game. It was a hard fought game. Toronto went with almost the same lineup that walloped Charlotte. Vancouver rotated their lineup, so they were fresher at the end. The game should have had extra time, before penalties.
Now, Vancouver gains a berth in the next CCL. There was no Canadian cup last year, so no automatic CCL slot.

This should be a very interesting game. KC is not playing very good football and Sacramento is a hard working team. So, maybe we will see a USL team in the finals.
