New or returning subscribers can use the code “BIRTHDAY” to gain access to the service for just $1 per month. The fee lasts for three months. For users that wish to subscribe to the Premium Plan (ad-free), the aforementioned promotional code works as well. Using the same code gains access to a monthly fee of $2 for three months. After the three months, each plan transitions to the normal monthly fees. Consequently, standard plans are $4.99 per month, while the ad-free plan is $9.99 per month.

CBS’s streaming service experienced a rapid growth in their relatively short time as a company. In fact, as of the end of 2021, Paramount+ previously announced that they had a total of 32.8 million paid U.S. subscribers. On one hand, this number is lower than Netflix and Hulu. However, Paramount+’s total number of subscribers far exceeds Peacock Premium and ESPN+.

Surely, popular shows such as “1883” and “Mayor of Kingstown” provided a massive jolt to the subscriber counts. Additionally, NFL games in 2021 prompted fans to acquire the service. Also, Paramount+ collaborated with T-Mobile to offer cell phone customers one-year free access. This pair came back in November, just before the aforementioned calculation of total paid subscribers.

Soccer on Paramount+

Timing of the Paramount+ anniversary deal comes at a good time for soccer fans. The UEFA Champions League knockout phase returns March 8th. Then, Liverpool hosts Inter Milan while Bayern Munich battle RB Salzburg. The following day, a massive fixture goes down between Real Madrid and Paris St.-Germain.

New subscribers using the “BIRTHDAY” code could take advantage of the discount to watch the remainder of the Champions League. Furthermore, the deal allows users to take advantage of the deal all the way up until the Champions League final. That game, scheduled for May 28, would near the end of the three-month period at reduced costs.
