No Serie A game at all this weekend on CBS SPORTS? But they rather show a women’s soccer game than the Juventus match. Why?

My only complaint about about Paramount/CBS is that the CBS cable channel just seems to show talk programs every day instead of Serie A games or a decent Serie A highlight show on the cable channel. On Rai Sport News I can see some Serie A highlights. That is also the case with ESPN DEPORTES sportscenter and TUDN mission Europa. So why can’t Rai show La Domenica Sportiva here?

@Ra, that’s right, DAZN shows all the matches and has the exclusive rights to almost all the matches. Sky was given the opportunity to get about 3 a week non exclusive, not sure if they did.
Contract before this one RAI had the 3 non exclusive matches a round (contract before that had pretty much every match). DAZN might’ve had 1 or 2 exclusive, and the rest was Sky I believe.
With no RAI involvement this time in Italy, impossible for RAI Italia to show here!
People need to point their anger at them, not Paramount+

They do. They call their highlights show ‘Magazine’ and you can find it for every league under ‘extras’.
Yes, people have complained about RAI international, but I believe they no longer have these rights in Italy or elsewhere.

So does Paramount Plus have a highlight show of all the games? It seems La Domenica Sportiva is no longer on Rai Italia. They had it for the 1st two weeks of the season.

@Bitter- Rai Italia lost all the rights for the Serie A and soccer in general. All the matches are bought out by Paramount Plus. We need more than 1 game a week on CBSSN. It would be nice to see at least 2 to 3 games a week on CBSSN. Forza Napoli!

@michelangelo- paramount/cbs should just put on all the games on the their cable channel. I can record them when I am at work. Anybody here stopped subscribing to RAI ITALIA due to the lack of soccer. @christopher h. – thank you for the answer.

@EricT- The Serie A and Coppa Italia are two separate tournaments and they should have to separate buttons or tabs as you call them. It’s going to get confusing when the Serie A begins tomorrow. So far the Coppa Italia coverage was okay the picture quality was awful at times but atleast it works. Before we couldn’t even view these matchups so it’s great to see them live on the big screen. The Highlights section is amazing and it’s fantastic instead of watching the entire replay. We need Golazo zone coverage when multiple matches are being played at the same time. Any suggestions on what Paramount Should be doing with their service?

Will the less expensive plan for paramount plus show commercials during the soccer games?

Not during soccer games. But before games start, at half time, and post-match, yes.

@M- I know they showed La Giostra Del Goal last year but Paramount is really lacking and need to find a way on how to implement their own version similar to what they do for the Champions League or Europa League but for the Italian Serie A. Their Coppa Italia coverage was sub par and I pray they can have great coverage on this Paramount since it’s the only reason why I bough the Service. They need to add an Italian SAP option to the service to add that authenticity to the league. Paramount Plus needs to update the Serie A to their website as well. My question I have for everyone is if the match is streamed on Paramount Plus and CBSSN is the stream the same or different? Is it being streamed on the same channel on tv and online? So many questions we have an it looks like Paramount Plus is dropping the ball and don’t care about the Italian Serie A. Please if anyone finds more information please let us know. Thank you!!!!

Don’t see La Giostra Del Goal on the Rai Italia website. Do see the summer edition of La Dominica Sportiva listed. The CBS sports cable can easily show more games over their cable channel. They will like espn. And espn had more channels to fill up with soccer games and they didn’t do it with bundesliga or serie A.

Paramount Plus is working and I’m glad it is for for the Coppa Italia coverage. Although once the Serie A starts we need a Golazo zone or whip-around coverage similar to the Champions League, Europa League, or NFL Redzone. We need this since Americans when they watch sports get watch all the matches and never miss a thing. It’s the best way to watch a broadcast and it makes it interesting to see the title race. Multi language SAP broadcast in Italian would influence the game and gain an international audience to a new platform. They could also work with Rai Italia since they don’t have an HD stream. So many questions need to be answered starting from their website. No information what so ever about the Coppa Italia and the Serie A. Paramount Plus doesn’t care and if they don’t I would rather them go back to ESPN plus or another streaming service. I can’t wait to watch my Napoli perform in the Italian Serie A. Please Paramount Plus listen to the Worldsoccertalk community and let us enjoy the game that we love. Thank you so much everyone and Forza Napoli!!!! I can’t wait for the Season to begin on Thursday

@M- On their website it still states they have La Giostra Del Goal which was telecast of one match and would show you goal updates throughout the other matches. I really hope Rai Italia and Paramount Plus are working together to give us fans some better service. Excellent shows by the way on Rai Italia but no information stating that they won’t show the Serie A this season.

No replays after the Coppa Italia games ended this is horrible. Horrible service so far the announcers are horrible and no replay option for the Coppa Italia matches.

@Ra- absolutely it’s called a my list option which is the closest thing to it. Go to the Serie A page and click the checkmark to add to list. You will see your list at the main homepage. Mine is the Serie A, Champions League, and Europa League.

Thanks!!
Is there a way to add that to the home screen and have it only show action from apps you’ve purchased?

So far watching the Coppa Italia coverage on Paramount is Sub par it’s great to get these matches although we need an Italian SAP option and multiple streams as well. The announcer is horrendous.

@JP- Thank you so much for the message and I really appreciate it. I just obtained the essential package for the year for 50 bucks. The only reason why I bought Paramount is the Serie A moved to this service. Another benefit is having the Champions League and Europa League which I’m super psyched about. I watched the Supercup on Paramount and it was okay. I really wanted to see the SAP option in Italian so they can test the waters a little bit and see if it works. It would’ve been awesome to see different camera angels for the match similar to ESPN Plus. I have the new Google TV and I love it. The streaming is really smooth on it and the options are endless. The Paramount Plus app really needs a Soccer section or a Sports section. I find it annoying and a waste of time going into the shows option to watch a live match. We also need a Golazo Zone coverage when multiple matches are being played at the same time. Very similar to NFL’s Redzone coverage but for Calcio. We also should be able to choose our favorite Serie A team on the App and we should also be able to choose more avatars since the ones give to us are only from TV shows. CBSSN should televise a minimum of 4 matches a week just like how Rai Italia does. Paramount need to learn from Rai Italia and how they can make their Serie A coverage close to perfect. Why not have the Rai Italia announcers be a SAP Italian option. By bringing in Italian announcers and a commenting team that knows what they are doing it can really change the dynamic of the beautiful game. Thank you so much @JP for your comment and FORZA NAPOLI!!!! What are your suggestions for the Italian Serie A and Paramount Plus?????

@JP Did you check the Sports tab (under AppleTV+)? It is the best sports aggregator in any device.

@MichelAngelo, yes all the Serie A coverage will be on P+ essential plan. $5 bucks a month all you need!
–
FYI, just replaced my old Fire Stick with an Apple TV and the difference is amazing. So much faster, better picture quality it seems too.
Preview/sample of what’s on ESPN+ and P+ even before opening the app. Should make changing games (La Liga to Serie A) a smoother process than it would’ve been on Fire.
Going to see how the Coppa Italia match looks in an hour compared to how the Super Cup looked Wednesday (subpar).

@JP- Thank you so much. So is the coverage on CBSSN and Paramount Plus the Same. I have the essential plan which is the basic so that’s why I wanted to make sure. That’s perfect and great to know thank you so much for all your help. Any suggestions you have for Paramount Plus and the Serie A? @JP- Forza Napoli !!!

@Michelangelo, CBS Sports Network isn’t on P+, it’s a cable channel. But all the matches, even those shown on CBSSN, will be live on P+ so you don’t need it

is CBS and the CBS SPORTS NETWORK available on Paramount Plus or can you watch all the Serie A games with a Paramount Plus subscription only? Thank you so much everyone and my question is for everyone what is one thing that you want to see Paramount Plus do for this years Serie A’s coverage? For me it must be a Golazo Zone coverage which shows all the goals and switches between all the matches live during usually the Sunday 9am window this is a must for Italian Serie A coverage and Paramount Plus to succeed in their opening year. FORZA NAPOLI!!!

Finally the Italian Serie A and Coppa Italia is finally here and I can’t wait to see what coverage Paramount and CBSSN provides us in the next upcoming months. Will the Italian SAP option be available for the Coppa Italia games and Serie A games? Also Their is a highlight called Coppa Italia magazine and it’s not working for some odd reason. I’m glad to see that Coppa Italia matches and Serie A matches will be streamed on Paramount Plus. Also is the CBSSN available on Paramount Plus or is that a separate app or channel you would need to obtain? I’m excited that Napoli will be playing on CBSSN. We need more information about the Serie A and Coppa Italia on their website since it dosen’t even say they have the rights to it yet. Paramount is very behind on their coverage and they need to step it up. How many games will CBSSN/CBS show on cable tv? Will we have a Golazo show option for the Italian Serie A? Will we be able to choose our favorite Italian Serie A team as our avatar? Will we have a soccer option on the app instead of going to the shows option? Paramount has a lot of questions to answer but I can say I have some faith in them and this could really work. Thank you so much and Forza Napoli!!!

Is there a sense that CBS/P+ is pulling back on their soccer coverage a bit? The UEFA Supercup broadcast was very stripped down compared to the prior year, and the lack of any talent announcements for Serie A coverage to date is concerning.

Curious as to why they’d wait to unveil the pregame studio show on Sep 12 instead of the 1st weekend of action. Would’ve have had to compete with NFL and more likely to have eyeballs on it and potentially build the audience.
–
Only upside is they can get some momentum starting later instead of having an international break after round 2 action. On a side note, the September break is by far the worst, let the domestic leagues flow!
