Telemundo Deportes kicks off its Road to Qatar 2022 with extensive Spanish-language coverage of the CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifiers starting this Wednesday. Through the first round, nine matches will be live streamed exclusively on Peacock Premium and three will be simulcast live on Universo, TelemundoDeportes.com and the Telemundo Deportes app.

Telemundo Deportes’ award-winning FIFA World Cup team of commentators will lead the coverage, including six-time Emmy-Award winning play-by-play commentator Andres Cantor, former Mexican National Team stars Carlos Hermosillo and Manuel Sol, and experts Copán Alvarez, Sammy Sadovnik and Eduardo Biscayart.

Peacock Premium will exclusively live stream nine games in the first round of the qualifiers beginning Wednesday, March 24 when Guatemala hosts Cuba LIVE at 8 p.m. ET. The streaming service’s match coverage will be highlighted by Puerto Rico vs. Trinidad & Tobago and Montserrat vs. El Salvador live streaming on Sunday, March 28 at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET, respectively. Peacock Premium will also feature Canada’s home-and-away matches starting Thursday when they host Bermuda at 8 p.m. ET and Sunday at 4 p.m. ET when they meet Cayman Islands. All of the games on Peacock will be produced by Telemundo Deportes.

Universo’s coverage kicks off Thursday at 7:50 p.m. ET with a double-header beginning with Panama vs. Barbados, followed by El Salvador hosting Granada with a pre-game beginning at 10 p.m. ET. The action will also be available via TelemundoDeportes.com and the Telemundo Deportes app.

The CONCACAF Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will return in June for the conclusion of the first round and the complete second round that will see the six group winners playing in three home-and-away ties of predetermined pairings. The winners will advance to the third and final round that will be played between September of 2021 and March of 2022. The final round of the qualifiers will feature Mexico and USA, who are part of the top five CONCACAF teams based on the FIFA rankings. The top three teams qualify for the World Cup, and the fourth-placed team advances to the inter-confederation playoffs.
