Major League Soccer’s final regular season broadcast of 2019 featured the San Jose Earthquakes and Portland Timbers — both fighting for a spot in the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs — and drew an audience of 226,000 viewers on ESPN. ESPN’s networks finished the regular season seeing a 2% increase in viewership, up to 246,000 viewers per match, making up some of the ground from ESPN’s 10% drop in viewership from 2017 to 2018.

NBC’s coverage of the Premier League is averaging 780,500 viewers through their first eight broadcasts of the 2019-2020 season, down 7% from their first eight last season. Saturday’s matchup between West Ham and Crystal Palace drew just 596,000 viewers to the network, the Premier League’s fourth smallest audience on NBC in the past 3 seasons. However, for the 2019/20 season to date, Premier League average viewership across NBC, NBCSN and CNBC is up 12% compared to last season at this point.

Liga MX is still running strong on Univision with an average of 790,036 people tuning in per match broadcast on the network, up 18% from the 2018 Apertura. Univision is seeing even greater success with their near weekly Saturday night double-header averaging over 1 million viewers per match so far this Apertura.
