great thinking ESPN putting Fiorentina vs. Udinese on TV instead of Inter vs. Juventus
Well, this week they aired parma-sassuolo with inter-lazio on espn+, and both were played at the same time!
Dislike them not using the world feed commentary for games on Plus, the times they’ve done this the picture just doesn’t seem as good. Felt the same about Copa America this summer, the picture quality seemed downgraded. Not sure if just a coincidence or a product of them adding their own graphics or something. This is in addition to generally preferring the world feed commentators over Donaldson.
ESPN should supplement the weekend afternoon by showing all the 2:45PM ET games on TV. The Premier League & Bundesliga ends at 2:30PM ET so if you don’t subscribe to ESPN+ you have nothing else to watch.
Unfortunately, Serie A games are boring: defensive tactics and poor atmosphere andempty stadiums with large tracks around the field, averaging 24,931 last year (only 56% of capacity), even Juventus oftenn have more than 10,000 empty seats at the new stadium with Ronaldo.
It’s also a retirement league for players past their prime. Buffon is 41, Bruno Alves is 38, Ribery and Pandev are 36, Danilo, Chiellini and Handanovic are 35, and Ronaldo, Llorenete and Kolarov are 34, with Godin and Dzeko almost 34, just to name a few.
Only two matches on ESPN Deportes? That’s odd.
