ESPN announces International Champions Cup schedule

The seventh edition of the International Champions Cup will be televised across the ESPN networks this summer.

Featuring Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, Atlético de Madrid, Chivas de Guadalajara, Tottenham Hotspur and several other top clubs, the tournament will be played in nine countries across North America, Europe and Asia.

Beginning Tuesday July 16, the coverage runs through Saturday August 10. Before the first match featuring Fiorentina and Chivas, ESPN will broadcast a one-hour International Champions Cup preview show featuring Dan Thomas, Shaka Hislop, Steve Nicol and Matteo Bonetti, as well as Alejandro Moreno and Adrian Healey live from the the stadium. In addition, Sebastian Salazar will be reporting from the Bayern Munich training camp in Los Angeles.

International Champions Cup coverage will feature several key matchups including:

• Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid (Friday, July 26),
• Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid (Saturday, July 20),
• Spurs vs. Juventus (Sunday, July 21),
• Tottenham vs. Manchester United (Sunday, August 4).

In addition, ESPN+, ESPNEWS and ESPN2 will present coverage of the second edition of the Women’s International Champions Cup, starting August 15 at 5 p.m. ET, from Sahlen’s Stadium in Cary, NC. The Women’s ICC Final will culminate a four-match series (semifinals, third-place and final) among four teams. Teams include reigning UEFA Women’s Champions League winners, Olympique Lyonnais, and the 2018 NWSL Champion North Carolina Courage.

Play-by-play voice Ian Darke will lead the ESPN commentator team. Other English-language play-by-play commentators include Adrian Healey, Sebastian Salazar, Mark Donaldson, Ross Dyer, and Mike Watts, along with match analysts Alejandro Moreno, Craig Burley, Kate Markgraf, Matteo Bonetti, Herculez Gómez, Matt Lawrence, Paul Mariner, Janusz Michallik, and Stewart Robson.

ESPN Deportes commentators include Spanish-language voices Fernando Palomo, Mario Kempes, Richard Méndez, Ricardo Ortiz, Robert Sierra, Barak Fever, Mauricio Pedroza, Jorge Pietrasanta, Roberto Gómez Junco, Flavio Pereira, Tito Manriquez, Eugenio Diaz, Mario Carillo and Alex Pareja. Richard Mendez and Carolina de las Salas will provide commentary for the Women’s ICC, and Alfonso Duro will serve as the digital reporter for ESPNDeportes.com.
