You can add another mistake to FOX Sports’ long list of faux pas they’ve made before and during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Their latest mistake is scheduling John Strong and Stu Holden as the commentators for both World Cup semifinals and the final. Nothing against Strong or Holden, but Derek Rae and Aly Wagner deserve to be calling the England-Croatia semifinal. The duo of Rae and Wagner have called every single England game during the World Cup, and they deserve to get the England semi-final.

FOX’s decision to feature Strong and Holden for both of the semifinals and the final is another perplexing move by the American broadcaster. Maybe instead of making a tough decision between Strong/Holden, Rae/Wagner and JP Dellacamera/Meola, FOX decided to go the easy route by picking Strong/Holden for all three games? Who knows with FOX as they seem to live within their own world at times that is out of touch with reality.
