The second leg of the 2016 Liga MX Apertura Final between Club America and Tigres UANL will be played on Christmas Day, December 25, to determine who will be the Liguilla champions.

The first leg of the final will be played on Thursday, December 22. The match will be televised live from Azteca Stadium to viewers in the United States on Univision Deportes.

Then, on Christmas Day, the second leg of the final will be played at Estadio Universitario to determine the winner.

The reason why the final will be played in late December is because Club America is competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being played in Japan.

Club America defeated Necaxa in the semi-final to advance to the Liga MX Apertura Final. Tigres UANL had to get past Club Leon.
