Sunday’s broadcast of Sevilla against Barcelona on beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Espanol was the most-watched La Liga game of the 2016/17 season thus far.

The match averaged 552,000 viewers. The game averaged 408,000 on the Spanish-language beIN SPORTS en Espanol as well as 144,000 on beIN SPORTS.

The game, which ended 2-1 to Barcelona, was televised from 2:45-4:45pm ET on Sunday, November 6.

The recent improvement in beIN SPORTS’ viewing numbers is running parallel with the increased number of households that have the network available. The English-language beIN SPORTS is now in 23.5 million homes, while beIN SPORTS en Espanol is in 18.3 million households.

So far this season, four of La Liga’s top five most-viewed matches of the season belong to Barcelona. Nine of the top ten have kicked off between 2-3pm ET.

The impressive viewing number for beIN SPORTS comes hot on the heels of other very positive viewing audiences for recent soccer games such as:

• 518,000 for Barcelona vs. Granada on October 29,
• 495,000 for Real Madrid vs. Athletic on October 23,
• 310,000 for Alaves vs. Real Madrid on 29th October,
• 274,000 for the Manchester derby on October 26.
