Swansea City manager Bob Bradley will make his debut this Saturday in a game against Arsenal, which will be shown live on US television.
Bradley, who became the first American to be hired as a manager of a Premier League club, will take his Swansea team away to north London to play against Arsenal. The game kicks off from Emirates Stadium at 10am ET on CNBC and NBC Sports App. For cord cutters, the game will be available on Sling TV (with the World News Extra add-on package) as part of their 7-day free trial.
NBC’s decision to air the game on CNBC and not NBCSN should be noted. Instead of “cashing in” on the TV ratings spectacle that Arsenal-Swansea will produce considering the number of Americans tuning in to see how Bradley does in his first match, NBC Sports has decided to feature the top 5 clash between Manchester City and Everton on NBCSN.
By putting the Arsenal-Swansea game on CNBC, NBC Sports should be able to get a ratings bonanza from having both Manchester City-Everton and Arsenal-Swansea on at the same time, which will then be followed by Crystal Palace vs. West Ham United on the over-the-air NBC network.
It’s time to start making your plans now to see history being made with Bradley stepping into the dugout as the first American manager in the Premier League.
