One World Sports has been added to AT&T U-verse’s programming in the same 24 hours that the sports network was made available on DirecTV.

The One World Sports channel was added to AT&T U-verse on Monday afternoon, and is now available on channel number 1665.

In what has been a great week for soccer fans in the United States, the addition of One World Sports to both AT&T U-verse and DirecTV means that the network’s soccer programming will be available to more sports fans than ever before. The soccer properties include NASL matches (including all New York Cosmos home matches), AFC Champions League, Arsenal TV, Bayern TV and Chelsea TV. In addition to soccer, OWS has cricket rights (England national team, Caribbean Premier League); ice hockey (KHL); basketball (Chinese Basketball League); table tennis and darts. Also, One World Sports recently signed a deal to broadcast Ivy League American football games (the season begins on Saturday, September 17).

The double boost of AT&T U-verse and DirecTV comes just days after One World Sports elected not to extend its five-year agreement with DISH.

The news will come as another welcome relief to the second-division NASL in helping games on One World Sports reach a wider audience.
