As of this week, One World Sports is no longer available on DISH and Sling International, which will come as a blow to soccer fans accustomed to watching NASL, Asian Champions League, Arsenal TV, Chelsea TV and Bayern Munich TV on the sports network.

“ONE World Sports was seeking carriage in a domestic sports package, and in HD across all of its platforms, rather than continue to be packaged as an ethnic channel, and in SD,” said a One World Sports spokesperson. “We wanted the network to have carriage on DISH with packaging consistent with, and in a format, where fans look for live sports content.

“When we opted out of our agreement with DISH, this also included carriage on its Sling platform. We welcome the opportunity to continue the dialogue with DISH and pursue opportunities to create a mutually beneficial partnership for carriage of the network in the future.”

Despite One World Sports no longer being available on DISH and Sling International, the channel is available on fuboTV and PS Vue.

“It is our goal to be available to as many homes as possible and we are working diligently on adding distribution partners that will contribute to the overall growth of the network,” added the spokesperson. “We expect to be making some additional affiliate and programming announcements in the next few weeks.”
