usa-soccer-logo

A new leaked image of the USA black jersey for 2016 is the best one yet. The photograph, that is. Not the shirt.

The new USA black jersey, which will be officially unveiled later this month, features a black shirt, the new USA logo and sleeves that are red and blue.

Designed and manufactured by Nike, the new USA 2016 jersey is sure to generate a lot of debate from both sides of the aisle — with those who hate it sure to be more vociferous on Twitter than those who like it.

No matter your thoughts about it, the jersey is sure to be memorable for all of the right or wrong reasons.

Nike has screwed up the USA kit they stink. That home kit with the blue shoulder pads is a freaking joke. Stick to shoes get out of the kit business.

All of the kits in this Nile the, plate of contrary coloured sleeves – or contrary / contrary colored sleeves in this case – look like a lazy effort from the sportswear giant. I haven’t seen one yet that’s an upgrade over the shirt it replaced.

Our national colors are the RED WHITE and BLUE of our flag… no need to mess with other shades of those colors either. I don’t understand why Nike cannot understand this – the previous kits looked like the Russian Flag and would have looked great on the Russian National team – if you do not believe me look it up. The US teams are popular because Americans are a patriotic people and support their national teams who should be wearing our national colors – not because soccer itself is yet that popular in our country – although I myself love it. All that being said – at least they are not the lime green atrocities the ladies wore last summer.

That better be a warm-up jersey.

Just ugly and sad. I agree with the Wal-Mart knock off sentiment. This is the worst jersey that they US has ever had. Even though I generally loathe white kits, that is our primary look. I would have loved to keep something like the Waldo kits or a navy sash. Something classic, classy, and distinctive while retaining white as the primary color.
This i just hideous. I can’t even form an opinion about the badge because the jersey is just too terrible.

Adam, this is the away kit. The U.S. will still be wearing a white shirt for their home kit. The new home white kit will have two different shades of blue on it. You will see it soon.

Ah. That makes sense. Even at that, this kit is garbage. The navy kits from the early 2000s usually looked great and were identifiable as US shirts. The red alt kits from a couple years back were pretty decent. I think the charcoal kits are where we started going downhill

Looks like those cheap knock off jerseys you see at wal mart around the time the Olympics is going on. What the hell were they thinking?

I like the crest, but the jersey looks like something I’d buy at the end of a Walmart isle… It’s sad when the official jersey itself looks like a cheap knockoff haha.
