Last Saturday’s game between Aston Villa vs. Leicester City televised on the NBC over-the-air network was watched by 1 million people in the United States.

The clash between one of the teams challenging for the title against a team battling to avoid relegation was the sixth match of this 2015/16 Premier League season to top more than 1 million viewers (NBC had 4 matches in the 2014/15 season that had 1 million+).

Following are the six matches on NBC to draw more than 1 million viewers this season:

Manchester United v. Liverpool, 9/12/2015, 1.2 million
Everton v. Arsenal, 10/24/2015, 1.2 million
Chelsea v. Stoke City, 11/7/2015, 1.1 million
Manchester United v. Leicester City, 11/28/2015, 1.0 million
Aston Villa v. Leicester City, 1/16/2016, 1.0 million
Chelsea v. Swansea, 8/8/2015, 1.0 million

An important note is that the Aston Villa-Leicester game is the first time a Premier League match on NBC has hit 1 million or more viewers for a game not involving the Premier League top 5 clubs (outside of Swansea-Cardiff, which had the benefit of an Olympic lead-in in 2014).
