Jordan Morris’s decision to play in MLS won’t hurt the USMNT

Being judgmental about a 21-year-old’s decision has less to do with the USMNT and more to do with the way fans and journalists frame the debate the long-term health of US Soccer. It would be great if those debates were healthier.

That’s the problem, our thinking. Being an asset and being your best. Any competitor, I mean any competitor includes not just sports but competing in anything knows that the higher the competition, the more you step up. What you thought was your 110% becomes non-existent. Your level rises to levels you didn’t imagine. So yes, Jordan Morris can add to the national team but….
Neymar is raising because of the quality around him and the quality of his opponents. Luis Suarez is reaching new heights, Jerome Boateng=not many predicted. Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan played JV in High School, we all know, someone who was thought to be capped out and the competition bought new life.
We need our men and women playing in the Champions League.
