On this week’s edition of Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, the pundits decided to pick apart the 1966 World Cup Final between England and Germany since there was no Monday match in the Premier League this week.

In addition to analyzing the tactics of the match, which was played 50 years ago this year, Jamie Carragher and Ed Chamberlin used statistical data from Opta, the tactics touchscreen and virtual reality from EA Sports to show how the impact of Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Alan Ball had on the match.

They also paid particular attention to England’s controversial third goal by Geoff Hurst. Did the ball cross the line or not? As you can see from the video below and Sky Sports’ analysis, they’re convinced that the ball crossed the line.

But what do you think? Is the video conclusive enough or not? Let us know what you think in the comments section below or on our social media accounts.
