Manchester United will be wearing a jersey for the 2016/17 season that will be inspired by Newton Heath, the name of the club before they became Manchester United Football Club in 1902.

While Manchester United won’t quite be wearing green and gold jerseys like they did from 1992 to 1994, the Red Devils will be wearing a half-and-half red jersey — with two different shades of red.

“This style is continued onto the sleeves, while the front halves are connected through a hexagon detail, which also appears in other parts of the shirt and the rest of Manchester United’s 16-17 Adidas collection,” according to Footy Headlines.

As with the new design templates for adidas kits, the three stripes will be down the sides of the jersey instead of over the shoulder and down the arms.
