Somewhere, amid the more gambling-addled outposts of our world, there was surely a sports book that took bets: Who would be the last perfect team in this season’s UEFA Champions League? Short odds Barcelona, with their group. Perhaps Bayern could have been a favorite. But Zenit St. Petersburg? Despite talents like Hulk and Axel Witsel, the odds would have been long.

Yet here we are, at the end of four matchdays, and Andre Villas-Boas’s team is the last one unscathed. Thanks to a brace on Wednesday from former Spartak Moscow striker Artyom Dzyuba, Zenit took three points from Olympique Lyonnais, moving to 4-0-0 in the process. While the Russian champions could, technically, still give up first in their group, they’ve joined Real Madrid and Manchester City as early entrants in the tournament’s knockout round.

With those three spots down, 13 more to settle, here’s how Groups E through H stack up after four rounds:

Clubs P W D L F A +/- Pts
 Barcelona

 Roma
4 1 2 1 10 10 0 5
 Bayer Leverkusen
4 1 1 2 11 10 1 4
 BATE Borisov
4 1 0 3 4 11 -7 3

Today: Barcelona 3-0 BATE; Roma 3-2 Bayer.

Where they stand: Barcelona is all but mathematically assured of going through, and with Roma yet to visit the Nou Camp, first place in the group is a draw away. For Roma, a point in Spain would go a long way to clinching second, though Bayer could force their hand by winning out. A potential group stage finale at home against a nothing-to-play-for, desperate to rest players Barcelona means anything is possible.

Next up, Nov. 24: Barcelona vs. Roma; BATE vs. Bayer.

 Dinamo Zagreb

 Arsenal
4 1 0 3 6 10 -4 3

Today: Bayern 5-1 Arsenal; Olympiacos 2-1 Dinamo.

Where they stand: This was the worst case scenario for Arsenal. They needed something from Munich, and if not, they needed Dinamo to trip up Olympiacos. Instead, the Greek champions need only a point in its last two games to send the Gunners out of the competition. That those games are against Bayern and the Gunners leaves room for home, but Olympiacos still control their own destiny. One more point or any slip by Arsenal puts them into the next round.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: Man Utd 1-0 CSKA | Sevilla 1-3 Man City.

Today: Maccabi 1-3 Porto; Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo.

Where they stand: Chelsea held serve against Dynamo, in the process taking a huge step toward the knockout round. Even if Ukraine’s champions win out, pushing them to 11 points, Chelsea now holds the head-to-head tiebreaker, meaning a win and a draw over the next two games will assure the Blues of at least second place. Given Dynamo have a trip to Porto in three weeks’ time, this group’s top two is almost settled.

Today: Lyon 0-2 Zenit; Gent 1-0 Valencia.

Where they stand: Wednesday’s match at Stade de Gerland showed the sharp surprise and deflating disappointment of what looked like the tournament’s most-even group. With two rounds to spare, Zenit’s booked a spot in the final 16, though Lyon has a surprisingly viable rout to the knockout round. If both they and Zenit win out (which would require OL winning in Valencia on matchday six), Lyonnais goes through in second place.
