Crsytal Palace host Arsenal at Selhurst Park in Sunday’s early kickoff (at 8:30am ET in the US on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra).

Both sides experienced contrasting fortunes in the last round of games with the Gunners losing 2-0 to West Ham at home while Palace were victors against newly promoted Norwich.

Arsene Wenger will be hoping his side can shake off the disappointing start to the season and pick up three points here or they may be left behind by their rivals in the title race.

The enduring defensive weaknesses of the Gunners were exposed in the last game with their sole new signing Petr Cech making two mistakes, which lead to the goals.

All of the early optimism has now subsided and the fans are beginning to face the reality that this Arsenal side are not complete yet and need at least two signings if they hope to make a serious title challenge.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have bought very well and can look forward to a very good season. They weren’t necessarily at their best last week but a win away from home is all that matters.

The main talking point was that new signing Yohan Cabaye scored on his debut and he will be one of the men to watch in their first home game of the season.

Team News

Jack Wilshere has picked up from where he left off last season with fibular injury keeping him out for, at least, the rest of the month. Tomas Rosicky is also unavailable after undergoing a knee surgery. Danny Welbeck is still sidelined.

Hector Bellerin is in contention to start the game after missing out against the Hammers while Alexis Sanchez should definitely start this game after coming on as a substitute last weekend.

The hosts have no fresh concerns with Marouane Chamakh and Julian Speroni the only absentees. Yannick Bolasie should start after coming off the bench in the last game while new signing Connor Wickham may start ahead of Glenn Murray
