As of 2022, he now works as a scout for Atlanta United.

Tom Marshall established himself as a respected figure in North American soccer journalism after 12 years working in Mexico, producing news and features stories for ESPN.

He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, and was born and raised near Manchester, England. He’s been based in Guadalajara since 2008.
