Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has completed a medical and reached an agreement to join Manchester United.

The France international reportedly arrived into Carrington training headquarters five minutes after Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and finalized his move to the twenty-time champions of England earlier this evening.

Once an official announcement is made Schneiderlin will become United’s fourth signing of the summer; following the arrivals of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

After having earlier fees rejected, United have reportedly reached an agreement with Southampton of £27 million for the France international.

Yesterday, United confirmed they had agreed a deal with Bayern Munich for World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger and the 30-year-old midfielder is also expected to join his new teammates when the squad boards their plane tomorrow for the club’s US tour.

Italian right back Matteo Darmian is also set to join the tour after United announced on Saturday that the 25-year-old Torino player had agreed a four-year contract.

The four signings will bring United’s total spending this summer to £80 million, and it’s understood that Louis van Gaal is far from done in the transfer market.

The Dutch manager and the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward are still attempting to finalize a deal for Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi.

Otamendi reportedly agreed personal terms with United prior to the start of the Copa America. However, the English club has been unable to negotiate a fee for the defender with Valencia’s new president, Lay Hoon Chan.

The La Liga side have been holding out on a £35 million valuation for the 27-year-old Argentine.

Also, United are still reportedly in the process of negotiating a transfer for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, after the veteran player expressed his desire to leave the Spanish giant following a fallout with club president Florentino Perez last month.
