Real Madrid will take part in the fourth edition of the Audi Cup which is hosted by Bayern Munich at the Allainz Arena in August.

The other two members of the four-team tournament will be announced in June following the conclusion of the Champions League final in Berlin.

The format of the Audi Cup remains unchanged: On Tuesday August 4, the two semifinals will take place. The losers of those matches will play each other the following day for third place, while the winners meet in the final.

Bayern Munich have reached the final of the competition each time it was held and have won the biannual event twice – beating Manchester United on penalties in 2009 and later defeating Manchester City in 2013.

Barcelona took home the Audi Cup trophy in 2011, beating Bayern 2-0 in the final.

Past participants have been AC Milan, Boca Juniors, Internacional (Brazil) and São Paulo.
