Southampton vs. Aston Villa, Gameweek 37: TV times and open thread

Nothing left to play for? You’re having a laugh.

Southampton needs a win to try to gain some momentum heading into the final day of the Premier League where they hope to clinch a Europa League spot. Spurs are just above them, but Swansea are only one point behind and are on a winning streak.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa desperately need points to avoid being sucked down into the relegation zone. A loss today and that would really make the Villans nervous.

Two more goals & Southampton will be doing better than Man City did against QPR last week!

I won’t have to switch back and forth between this game and the Norwich-Ipswich game now. The Championship game is all to play for in the 2nd half.

The coverage today regarding Gerrard is tedious over here. No matter, he’ll get a goodbye at Stoke next week. I’ll put extra gusto into it for you jtm.

Its getting nauseating. Hey Lampard is hanging em up too! Never been a huge fan but hes won a heck of a lot more than stevie; where are his lapdogs?

Oh right, Gerrard plays for Liverpool. Therefore he MUST be respected more than “some Chelsea rent boy”. SMBH.

Here is a good quote, “Gerrard should not be judged on the Premier League. What he achieved in Istanbul 10 years ago was the equivalent of anything Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, or Manchester City has ever done. I fully expect him to be back in the Liverpool dugout wearing a suit a la Garry Monk and Eddie Howe within four years.” -Stan Collymore
