Tottenham Hotspur have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2015-16 season, which features — as kit designer Under Armour UK calls it — a “heritage sash.”

The six stripes featured in the sash across the chest of the shirt are “inspired by the design of the emblem positioned below the golden cockerel that sits proudly on top both of the West and East stands at White Hart Lane,” according to the club website.

“The white shirt also includes a navy blue trim around the collar and cuffs in keeping with the Club’s heritage. The collar is a classic v-neck, with navy stripes detailing the back neck tape.”

The new Spurs home shirt for 2015/16 will be worn by the players for the first time in Saturday’s final home fixture of the season against Hull City.
