Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has committed his future to the club in spite of reported interest from Chelsea.

Koke, a product of Atletico’s youth system, has been manager Diego Simeone’s most consistent performer and loyal servant during his tenure in charge.

Over the past few seasons, the Spain international has been continually linked with moves away from the Spanish capital, and each time the 23-year-old has pledged his loyalty to his boyhood club.

Yesterday, reports surfaced claiming Atletico were preparing improved deals to Koke and winger Antoine Griezmann, which would include buy-out clauses of close to £100 million each, in an effort to thwart off interest from rival clubs.

While Griezmann has yet to publicly comment on the rumors, Koke has let it be known he is not planning to leave any time soon.

During an interview with the Spanish publication AS, the Spain international was asked if he would 100% be back at the club next season.

“Yes, I will play here,” Koke simply responded.

The midfielder also hopes Atletico makes an effort to bring back his friend and Chelsea left-back, Filipe Luis; who left the club last summer and has found it hard to hold down a starting spot at Stamford Bridge this season.

“Filipe Luis is more than a teammate, he is a friend, so he would be welcome here,” Koke told AS.

Koke went on to say his focus now is on this weekend’s clash with first place Barcelona, who can clinch the league title with a win in Madrid on Sunday.

While Atletico are out of the title race, Koke stressed that he and his teammates are not planning to lay down and allow Barcelona to celebrate their 23rd league title in front of their supporters at the Vicente Calderon.

“We hope that Barcelona don’t win the league at our ground,” Koke added. “We want to finish in third and we’re not a side which does favors; we’ll be going out to win as we always do.”

Programming note: Atletico Madrid against Barcelona will be shown LIVE on Sunday starting at 12:55pm EST on beIN SPORTS en español and fuboTV.
